All Good Things Come to an End...
I have had the greatest fun sharing animation news, insider information and rumors with you every day over the past two-and-a-half years! One of the best things about it was that I have been able to remain totally unbiased in my reports, since I worked outside the industry. One of the worst things about it was that my love for animation had to remain a hobby, not my career. So you'll understand my excitement when I was offered the opportunity, a few days ago, to promote animated movies for a living--and for one of my very favorite studios! However, this creates a conflict of interest that brought me to the decision to put Animated Movies on hold starting this coming Sunday, October 19, 2003--at least for the coming year. Make sure to enroll in the Animated Movies mailing list to be alerted when/if Animated Movies comes back up.
Animated Movies started out as a hobby during a bored summer when work was way too slow. The site, initially lost in cyberspace with little more than 30 visits a month, developed a larger following over time and is now getting more than 4,000 unique visitors a day. I feel very lucky that I was able to interact with so many of you, fans and professionals alike! Be confident that I'll invest the same passion and energy in my daily job, and I hope to make as positive a contribution to the animation industry from behind the scenes.
